My name is Karleen Humes and I am a teacher. Life gives us so many opportunities so that we can help others and ourselves to learn and improve our lot in life in order for us to be better students of life. From my resume you learned that I went to several schools. I studied Business in High School and that has taught me a lot of necessary/valuable things in life and how to make good business decisions which has proven to be a good thing. Another school I was enrolled in was the Pioneer Service School. This particular school taught me a lot about teaching people in an effective manner. It taught me to be patient when teaching to an audience and also an individual. Also to make sure that the important points are brought out and stressed properly so that it won’t be easily forgotten. Along with this, visual aids and illustrations-words pictures can be used because these can help the learner to call back to mind what was discussed. Other things learned included but not limited to- pronunciation, modulation, fluency, proper volume, appropriate pausing, naturalness, etc. All these things learned at this school has helped me to be the effective teacher that I try to be today. I love learning and I know what it means to be passionate about something and I would like an opportunity to do just. I enjoy being with my family, watching movies, listening to audiobooks and music, even dancing. These things aren’t just hobbies but they are a part of who I am.
